If I have both hands free, and I used a ki point to attack twice in my bonus action, would all 4 of my attacks that turn roll with a d8 for damage? Whether imagining a traditional build like the Kung Fu monks of China or Bruce Lee, or something out of left field like the mighty sumo (having a sumo with a 60 movement speed was hilarious highly recommend), Monks are masters of unarmed combat and the Martial Arts. If I decided to take some levels in monk, I'd be able to use the unarmed attack to get in extra powerful fist attacks which would be nice. The monk is the master of unarmed combat. Your unarmed strikes are a weapon with which you are. Being able to do all of that in one turn seems pretty nice. Regardless of whether or not you are armed, you can fight in melee by making an unarmed strike. Unarmed strikes deal nonlethal damage, and the damage from an unarmed strike is considered weapon. Or I can use the second attack to pin them, making us both restrained. An unarmed strike can be dealt with any limb or appendage. ![]() When I get a second attack at level 5, I can use the first attack to grapple them, and then punch them in the face with advantage.
